The Christ Church Youth and Community project brought together young and older people through an arts project. The project was named Art Attack and was part of a wider community arts initiative focusing on the 200th anniversary of the Felling Pit disaster on 25th May 2012.
The groups researched the history of Felling and worked together to design and produce a major piece of art work to relate to the history of the area and to feature in the regeneration of the area from 2013-15.
The Felling Historical Mural was created and now resides permanently at Felling Metro Station. As part of the commemorative celebrations this major piece of art was officially opened to the public on Friday 25th May to Commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Felling Pit disaster.
On 1st June 2010 a celebration party was held for everyone involved with the project. Akzo Nobel presented Trevor Davidson with a picture journal of those volunteers involved.
